Education, Training, Inequalities an Social Exclusion

Marc Demeuse, Kathleen Lynch
NESSE Seminar 2 2007

In this seminar the different conceptualisations of equality in relation to education and training and their implications for policy, examples of policies and practices that have succeeded or failed, were discussed.  Educational inequalities persist and have devastating effects on the lives of individuals and social groups. The presentations left little doubt that the European Commission has a crucial role to play in fostering equality, inclusion and social cohesion in European schools and societies.
