Please read the following Terms and Conditions (‘Terms’, ‘Terms and Conditions’) carefully before using the NESET website (the ‘Service’) operated by the NESET team (‘us’, ‘we’, or ‘our’).

Your access to and use of the Service is conditional on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users and others who access or use the Service.

By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the Terms then you may not access the Service.

Intellectual Property Rights

Other than the content you own, under these Terms, NESET and/or its licensors own all intellectual property rights and materials contained in this Website.

  • publishing any Service material in any other media without the consent of the NESET team;
  • selling, sublicensing and/or otherwise commercialising any material of the Service;
  • using the Service in any way that is or may be damaging;
  • using the Service in any way that impacts user access;
  • using the Service contrary to applicable laws and regulations, or in any way that may cause harm to the Service, or to any person or business entity;
  • engaging in any data mining, data harvesting, data extraction or any other similar activity in relation to this Website;

Access to certain areas of this Website is restricted.

Under no circumstances shall NESET, nor any of its employees, be held liable for any liability arising from or in any way connected with your use of this Service, whether or not such liability is under contract. Neither NESET, nor its employees, shall be held liable for any indirect, consequential or special liability arising from or in any way related to your use of this Service.

Database Expert profile

The NESET website contains a Database of Researchers and collects personal information which is provided voluntarily by researchers in education and training. If you, as a researcher, choose to register in the database, we ask you to provide a limited amount of personal information including your name, nationality, affiliation, email, links to a personal website or social network accounts, research interests and a CV. Please note that the CV is for the Network’s internal use only, and is never published online unless the researcher is a member of the NESET network. When you create or maintain a profile with us, you must provide us with information that is accurate, complete, and current at all times.

Links to other web sites

Our Service may contain links to third-party web sites or services that are not owned or controlled by NESET.

NESET has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party web sites or services. You further acknowledge and agree that NESET shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with the use of or reliance on any such content, goods or services available on or through any such web sites or services.

Cookies and Log Data

Please note that cookies are used to ensure the functionality of this website. They enable the website to remember users’ actions and preferences (such as language) over a period of time.

Like many site operators, we collect information that your browser sends whenever you use our Service (“Log Data”). This Log Data may include information, such as your computer’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, browser version, the pages that you visit within the NESET website, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages and other statistics.

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Lithuania, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement  regarding our Service between the NESET team and visitors, users and others who access or use the Service. They supersede and replace any such prior agreements regarding the Service.

Changes

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material we will try to provide at least 30 days’ notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.

By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, you must stop using the Service.

Privacy policy

NESET is committed to protecting users’ personal information. Its privacy measures comply with national legislation and the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679).

NESET abides by the Privacy policy of its coordinating institution – PPMI. Please refer to the document available here.             

This Privacy Policy is effective and will remain in effect except with respect to any changes in its provisions in the future, which will be in effect immediately after being posted on this page.

We reserve the right to update or change our Privacy Policy at any time and you should check this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the Service after we post any modifications to the Privacy Policy on this page will constitute your acknowledgment of the modifications and your consent to abide and be bound by the modified Privacy Policy.

If we make any material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you either through the email address you have provided us, or by placing a prominent notice on our website.
