Call for Survey Participation: Social Inclusion Monitor Europe – Reform Barometer

The SIM Europe Reform Barometer is a joint project of the Bertelsmann Foundation, the University of St Gallen and Webster University Vienna. It invites academics and policy experts to take part in the Reform Barometer online survey and to share their opinions and expectations about social policy reforms taking place in the European Union.

The survey covers multiple dimensions including equitable education, social cohesion and non-discrimination, poverty prevention, labour market access, health and inter-generational justice. The dataset will be used to:

  • inform European public debate on diverse topics such as reform efforts of single Member States or comparisons of Member States’ efforts to address social problems.
  • make available rich data to stakeholders (e.g. European Commission, NGOs, think-tanks) for identification of best practice, but also pointing out malpractice and reform gridlock in certain Member States.
  • enable academic researchers to work on a wide array of research questions including the causes and consequences of social policy change and welfare state reform.
